⇨ GUARDIANS & HARBINGERS
STAR GUARDIANS↴![]() ► COLOURS: White/Gold/Accent Colour (Accent Colours are based on one's Soul Colour.) ► STYLE: Bright, fashionable, star-motifs, modern aesthetics, a tendency towards mini skirts and tall boots. Sometimes, inhuman features appear based on their familiar. ► MAGIC: "Spark" based power, manifested in the form of a magic weapon, a familiar, a familiar that turns into a weapon, or some mixture of these elements. ► TRANSFORMATIONS: Full of colours, lights, and anime nudity, they are a wonder to behold. Historically speaking, most Star Guardians are women, but that is not exclusively the case. Magic uniforms tend towards being feminine, but are largely based on the Guardian's personality, and so can manifest as appropriately masculine when needed. The "Spark" is a magical focus that comes from the soul - all souls have the capability of manifesting a Spark, but it is a rare few that manage to fully harness their capabilities with the aid of Creation. A Spark is a passion, skill, or interest that becomes enhanced to the point of being almost godly. For example, a skilled musician could manifest their instrument as a weapon, and use their magic to sway the hearts of a crowd, or perhaps use its pitch to shatter stone. A lover of animals could use their bond to communicate with the wild, or summon magical beasts to their aid. The possibilities are endless, each Spark leading to its own realm of potential. The more skilled a Guardian, the better use they will get out of their Spark, and the more it will enhance their general capabilities, such a speed, strength, and endurance. The powers of a Spark are mostly only in effect when the Guardian is transformed, which they can do but summoning the Spark from their soul and allowing it to manifest as their uniform and weaponry, in a magical light sequence that seems to both take a long time and no time at all. Familiars can be created by the Spark or uplifted from mundane (or not so mundane) animals that the Guardian kept as a companion. While the Guardian is transformed, that familiar will become able to speak, and will be endowed with a small amount of wisdom from Creation in order to help guide their choices. A Star Guardian's power is based on their creative potential: on the amount of light inside of them, metaphorically speaking. Those with the most to bring to the world around them will have the most to bring to the team as a Guardian. HARBINGERS OF VOID↴ ![]() ► COLOURS: Black/Gunmetal/Accent Colour (Accent Colours are based on one's Soul Colour.) ► STYLE: Gothic, elegant, formal, old fashioned, cloaks, cowls, robes, gowns, jewelry with no particular iconography or symbols, armor pieces. Sometimes, inhuman features appear, like horns or spikes. ► MAGIC: Corrupted "Spark" based power, manifested in the form of a magic weapon. They can have familiars also, but they don't have the connection required to have the familiar/weapon combo. They use their magic as a tool towards an end. ► TRANSFORMATIONS: Badass, creepy, and sometimes a bit traumatic, these sequences often involve some mild body horror and general discomfort - but boy does it look metal! Like the Star Guardians, most Harbingers are women. Aesthetics come across as a bit gloomy and concealing - while Star Guardians dress confidently and openly, the Harbingers hide behind clothing like a shield. Though they can use familiars as mounts and attack dogs, they lack the connection to fully utilize them as a spiritual weapon. The Harbingers also tap into their Spark to attain power, but in this case the power of that Spark is inverted. The Harbinger's intention is to destroy reality, and they are willing and ready to destroy their own Spark along with it. A Harbinger of Hope will use that hope to destroy hope. A Harbinger of Dance will use their rhythm to take away joy. That most inner part of their soul has been corrupted, and redeeming them can feel impossible at times, even though it isn't. Even if a Harbinger signed on to the Void willingly, being made into one corrupts them more deeply than they might have anticipated. The Void will find reasons within them, ways to turn them against the Creation from which they were born. This can make them temperamental or irrational at times, but they are aware of what they're doing. Their personality and desires have simply been changed to accommodate the Void's goals. They can be purified with great effort and willpower, but it's no easy task. Most Harbingers were never truly given a choice. Harbinger familiars cannot speak, unless they could already, though they can be corrupted out of existing creatures. Much like Star Guardians, Harbingers are chosen for their creative potential - a great inner light is sought, because they greater the light, the more violently it can be inverted. The light of a powerful Spark collapses like a dying star, creating the Void inside them. OOC INFORMATION↴ ► AVAILABLE SLOTS: There will be 12 Guardians recruited willingly, and 12 Harbinger corrupted unwillingly. (Or willingly, if your character is a freak, but that will probably be seen as treachery against the carnival.) You may only submit one character for this purpose, unless there end up being left over slots, in which case you can choose a second. ► IC RESPONSIBILITIES: If you take a slot, it is expected that you will have the ability to be reasonably active in this event, since you are taking a position that is in limited supply. If you are uncertain about your ability to keep up, consider waiting before grabbing a slot. Not every recruit will be constantly required for plot to move on, but the mods will be unhappy to see slots getting wasted. ► SLOT CLAIMING: Slot claiming will open up on Friday. If more than 12 of each apply, then you will have the opportunity to guarantee your entry with AC points via a bidding system. The remainder will be chosen from the list of applicants via RNG. |

Yukio Okumura
► INTENSITY: 8/9?
► EXPLANATION: Yukio is a teacher, constantly training and empowering the people around him. He's also a protector, driven to extremes to try and make sure no one gets hurt again. He's a protagonist who never gives up on his goals. Ever. To a horrifying extent.
► FAMILIAR: A hydra (specifically, it looks a heck of a lot like Hachirotaro Okami). The hydra can get big enough to ride on (though not like, stupidly huge like Hachiro could in canon).
He also has a staff as a weapon, it's got cute little angel wings on it (like a caduceus without the snakes. i know medicine is a rod of asclepius but the caduceus is cuter).
► POWER: Healing abilities!
1. Self-regeneration: healing from wounds not instantly fatal, faster for more severe injuries (a paper cut heals at almost normal speed, being impaled heals to non-lethal levels in <1 minute), basically so he can get up and keep fighting.
2. Utilizing his familiar to heal others: the hydra... injects healing powers by biting. Yeah. It's also the same sort of healing as Yukio has for himself, to keep the team up and fighting.
3. Ultimate: his familiar wraps around his staff to make it actually look like a medical symbol, then breathes out a blast of blue fire. The fire doesn't actually burn, it just heals anyone Yukio wants to heal in a ~vague battle-relevant~ radius. Usage of this attack results in him passing out, and attempts to use it more than once in a 24-hr period result in a really horrifying backlash effect where any injuries Yukio has healed reopen.

Max AC Bid: 0 pts.
► SPARK: Perseverance
► INTENSITY: 8
► EXPLANATION: Scout's time in the Jedi temple is marked by her dedication to the Jedi Order, her belief in it and her desire to be a part of it. She's not flashy but she works harder than anyone, and when describing her her teachers and peers always note both that it is harder for her, and that she doesn't give up. At times she's able to inspire her peers and, once, her Master.
Yoda once says, "Too few Jedi have I already. But even had I a crop of thousands, small one, I would not let you go without a fight. Spirit and determination you have. Between the stars, so much darkness there is. Why would I throw away one who burns so bright?"
Repeatedly she's ended up surviving as people she cares about are picked off around her. She doesn't stop, though. Her plan when leaving the Carnival is to save what's left of the Jedi Order by hiding them from forces they can't defeat, and from there they can start figuring out what to do about the disaster that is the galaxy right now.
► FAMILIAR: Her dæmon Tràkata, oversized and haloed by light that protects him from the hands of others. He can still be hurt and that hurts Scout, but if someone just tries to touch him it won't be vile and disruptive, and he can come into contact with others without the dæmon-effects. Outside of Guardian form he's normal sized and glamored to look like some kind of monitor lizard. He's got pretty fearsome claws but his main thing is a very strong bite, he basically contains her clamping on power and is part of tracking.
Scout also has her lightsaber, which is fancied up both in the hilt and the blade, which is longer and more swordlike and trails blue light behind it when swept about.
► POWER: She can be seven kinds of beat up and still get back up and keep going as if fine. She can take injuries, but holds together somehow and goes on, conscious and not flinching at pain or exhaustion, through a whole lot of stomping. She can grant some of this to someone else, bringing them back into the fight if they were taken out of it if they have the will to get back to it. If she does this to two characters at a time, she goes out of her Guardian form until the buff fades or she pulls it back.
If Scout gets a hold on someone it's extremely difficult to break her hold against her volition, though that's tied to her dæmon and if he's dismissed due to injury she has a normal if strong grip. She still has her martial arts knowledge of choke holds and pressure points that make limbs go numb and slack briefly.
She can also track someone magically and the trail can be lost, it just takes a lot of doing.
I want to say she can will someone to stay and face her, it's almost a sense of being pressed down on, but this may be too many powers?
Cole
► MAXIMUM AC BID: 20 pts
► SPARK: Memory. Part of Cole's powers involve seeing people's memories and making people forget some of their bad memories. Having people remember or forget him is also a big part of Cole does why he does; most people forget him easily, so someone who can remember or see him (like the Inquisitor) is more important to him than others.
► INTENSITY: on the higher end, so maybe an 7 or 8?
► EXPLANATION: Cole's not creative per se, but he is a literal spirit of compassion whose role in life is to make things better, help heal hurts, and guide others through their sufferings. He puts a big emphasis on doing so and will go out of his way to help people even in the smallest ways possible. He's certainly not 'protagonist', but is more 'friendly ghost' or 'the dude from Quantum Leap'. He comes in, makes things better, and then leaves. Compassion pretty much defines his personality as well: he wouldn't know who he is if he can't go around and help people.
► FAMILIAR: A nug. This will be a more stylized nug and not the terrifying fleshy things with awful hand feet that they normally are. I'm also up for character familiars if anybody wants but love yourself, partner up with someone who makes sense. He's got two magical daggers for his weapon that are pretty much just normalass daggers that can glow b/c magical girl
► POWER: Memshare powers. Cole can pull forth positive memories from someone's head and broadcast it to that person/anybody watching with them. It's more of 'watching a movie' type of memory share than 'reliving it' memory share. Cole can specifically target the positive memories or he can just pull something more general.

INFO
► SPARK: Tenacity
► INTENSITY: 7
► EXPLANATION: For all intents and purposes, Miko starts out in the position of Basically Some Rando; she’s just a human, and not one as naturally gifted or as apparently Destined For Greatness(tm) as her friends. However, despite her apparent helplessness in a situation that’s way bigger than her in every sense of the word, she absolutely refuses to accept her position as an onlooker, instead involving herself directly at every possible turn and successfully making an impact on the conflict between the Autobots and Decepticons.
► FAMILIAR: Her Whismur, Screamo, now in the form of a little purple and yellow bunny... who turns into a magical electric guitar.
► POWER: Miko’s spark of tenacity grants her some fairly basic enhanced endurance and strength, allowing her to muscle through more physical opposition than she would otherwise. More blatantly magical is the use of her Pokemon-turned-rabbit-turned-guitar, which produces powerful pulses of sound that carry enough force to throw enemies back or break down barriers (with limits, obviously).
no subject
► INTENSITY: 3
► EXPLANATION: Jasper actively despises the power of friendship
► FAMILIAR: Jasper only has a weapon: her helmet, but given a makeover to match the Star Guardian aesthetic. It can probably shoot light beams out of the front instead of just being good for headbutting stuff with.
► POWER: Jasper's Star Guardian power is that she is very strong. Like, several orders of magnitude stronger than usual, so instead of just being strong enough to throw a truck or whatever she's like Superman or the Hulk, in the "this is the guy who we use as a benchmark of maximum allowable good guy superhuman strength in our ludicrous all-inclusive superhero setting" sense. She can use magical girl nonsense to share this power with her allies and temporarily grant them a degree of super-strength too, and also draw on their positive energy to even further increase her own strength for a well-timed strike, but this relies on them believing on her and vice versa so uhhhh
Yuzu Hiiragi
► INTENSITY: 8
► EXPLANATION: Yuzu is your typical red-headed anime female protagonist, full of energy and not willing to sit down and take crap from anyone or anything. While Yuzu is nowhere as advanced as her fellow castmates due to where she came from, she certainly shows her drive even in those early episodes when she sought to grow stronger after her moment of weakness lead to a defeat that shook her and Yuya both.
She’s also the type that will get frustrated with people and things and smack them around to get them to work as she’ll feel that they are holding herself, themselves or others back (re: all the times she’s smacked Yuya and the others with her fan, smashing the Solid Vision machine in the very first episode, etc.)
► FAMILIAR: Gongenzaka. With permission of the character’s mun, he’ll be taking a more cutesy variation of his usual self. As well, Yuzu will be able to summon and use her trademark paper fan for attacks.
► POWER: Yuzu’s power revolves around giving them emotional strength -- a lot of magical girl anime tends to use levels of emotion to gauge how powerful a heroine can be (re: the first half of Sailor Moon R, where Usagi’s utter resentment at returning to being Sailor Moon lead to her powers completely crapping out on her). Thus, Yuzu is more or less the cheerleader of the team. A cheerleader who will smack friend and foe alike with her large paper fan to turn the tide of battle. Long story short, she’d give everyone a boost in magical power.
LAMBERT
► INTENSITY: 7
► EXPLANATION: As someone who had no choice about becoming a witcher and being trapped with being a mutant freak forever, freedom is kind of obviously important to Lambert -- more specifically, the freedom from notions of inevitable destiny. He's really into this concept of ~breaking free~ Unfortunately, he also sucks at putting his money where his mouth is. His intensity is on the lower end because while he's granted great abilities by becoming a witcher, he doesn't have a huge personal goal or driving motivation to work towards. 'Spite the world by surviving against all the odds' isn't really useful here, and Lambert's still pretty much getting used to the concepts of wanting things for himself and actually taking leaps of faith to get them.
Being at the Carnival has changed him somewhat, moving him to give significantly more of a shit than he normally would, as well as a need to take more of an active role in others' lives. Ultimately, under his bravado, Lambert is really just a guy who's still looking for somewhere to belong.
That being said, he's unlikely to be bothered by the handicap. Witchers have always fought outside their weight class magically and physically; they're just very good at using what little they have to good effect.
► FAMILIAR: Pig, his Mudsdale, will be turning into a generic cute chibi version of herself (design pending) and turn into a talking motorcycle when Lambert is in Star Guardian form. She also stores his magical girl weapon, a sword of light that glows in the color of his soul.
► POWER: Most of Lambert's powers will be channeled through Pig. On the most basic level, she's a magical motorbike that occasionally defies the laws of physics. Movesets will be basically focused around doing sweet motocross-esque tricks with Pig to catch magical effects, e.g. slam into the earth to raise walls or launch boulders, drive in circles to raise tornados of dust or muddy earth to weigh people down or blind them, etc.
Pig is intelligent and can drive herself, though she can only cast basic/physical attacks when Lambert isn't riding her. Still, this means that when necessity calls, they can split up to give enemies more to deal with.

► MAXIMUM AC BID: 30
► SPARK: Entertainment
► INTENSITY: 9
► EXPLANATION: The whole crux of his passion for entertainment is how he can give to others positively with it, bringing them joy with his performance. He also uses his passion with empathy, connecting and communicating with others emotionally to help and bond with them. He's kind hearted in general and wants to be a positive presence, being very forgiving and helpful, but he pursues this specifically with his hobbies to create performances and shows that bring people together and create happiness in that moment, even if outside of it they have a lot of troubles. Performing arts are creative pursuits and he's at a point of really learning and applying engaging and unique aspects to said performances for really quality entertainment.
And he's using it to like, stop an interdimensional war so ambitions here are high.
► FAMILIAR: No familiar! Just a weapon: a star-shaped bubble wand the size of a one-handed sword
► POWER: Yuya can use the bubble wand to create colourful bubbles that, when they pop, create a number of non-violent status effects, illusions, or shields. I.E. a bubble that creates a soothing mist when it pops, or creates a bright flash of light, or reveal a regular sized magic shield for a few seconds. The most offensive he can get is very mild disabling status effects, like a stun, and otherwise his abilities area much more suited for support.
These bubbles aren't tied to the laws of physics and he can blow them arbitrarily faster or slower and not anyways in a straight line. They pop as soon as they touch anything with enough force to pop a balloon or he pops them himself.
He also has his barrier spell he recently learned.
no subject
► MAXIMUM AC BID: 10 pts
► SPARK: Curiosity. He was literally created to be curious, having a strong desire to try new things and be fascinated by new experiences. He really likes to poke into secrets and unknown information.
► INTENSITY: 5
► EXPLANATION: When he's not in a Yoko Taro game, he's about average. Generally kind (when not being a huge racist), not particularly inspiring, more of a grunt than a leader, more likely to let the world burn than save it.
► FAMILIAR: Foster. He'll also have 5 small floating lasers as his weapon.
► POWER: In addition to augmenting his hacking abilities (increased range he can hack from), his lasers are able to project hard light for various utility purposes, such as forming floating platforms that can be used by people (like himself) who can't fly. They can also form a pyramid shaped "jail" to entrap or ensnare, though those with more powerful sparks (literally everyone) will likely be able to break free. In a pinch the hard light from the lasers can also be used to form a barrier to protect him from attack. So basically the hard light projections help him reach places he otherwise wouldn't be able to, stop things he wants to study from escaping, and to protect himself from danger when he pokes his nose too deep into things.
Also they're lasers. So if he really wanted to melt that safe door to find out what's in it he could do that.
Re: ⇨ STAR GUARDIAN APPLICATIONS
► INTENSITY: 7
► EXPLANATION: "It doesn't matter what it is! YOU CARE ABOUT IT!!" When Alphys likes something, she gets obsessed, and she drags everyone along with her. Landing in a world powered by one of her favorite anime genre is like something out of her wildest dreams. Finally, all her extensive knowledge is useful and she doesn't have to be ashamed of unironically loving shojo. LBR, normally she's more of a 4 but her extreme passion for anime (and particularly magical girls) bumps it up a lot.
► FAMILIAR: N/A
► POWER: Alphys' powers are based on classic magical girl tropes! She has a magic staff that can fire beams of light shaped like ribbons/hearts/sparkles/whatever, and she has to spin around and shout a ridiculous attack name for them to work. She can also use the staff to fly not unlike a magic witch. Tying into her spark, her powers are more, well, powerful the more she believes in herself!
Rita
► INTENSITY: 9?
► EXPLANATION: As the "genius mage of Aspio," Rita's known throughout her world for her scholarly pursuits, and she's always used her knowledge to improve people's lives, even when she was kind of a grumpy hermit.
In a world under threat by a swarm of otherworldly monsters that consume life, Rita plans to use her magic knowledge to transform both her beloved blastia and the encroaching monsters into spirits, giving them new life while also protecting the existing life in her world. Her work won't end there, either. Once the world has been saved, she intends to begin research into new technology that will help society recover and thrive, as well as researching spirits and learning how to coexist with them in the future.
► FAMILIAR: Francis, her Litten.
► POWER: Rita's main weapon will be a large magic book. In combat, the pages can act as portals from which weapons or elemental magic can be drawn.
The book also contains knowledge. When Rita observes magic and other phenomena, the information she views will be recorded in the book in as much detail as she observed it in. She can use her book, combined with her magic perception, to try and read enemy skills to figure out how they work and how they may be dispelled or countered in the future.
The text in the book appears as incomprehensible runes to anyone but Rita, but any person who touches a page of the book while focusing may telepathically learn some portion of that knowledge, and may also record something they know about in the same manner. Any number of pages may be removed without depleting the book.

Maximum AC Bid: 20 pts (will have 28 total as of Dec AC)
► SPARK: Love
► INTENSITY: 9
► EXPLANATION: One of the most defining things about Sora in Kingdom Hearts is that he's the Team Normal that happened to be in the right place at the right time, and then took what he had and ran with it to become one of the biggest powerhouses in the series. He didn't start out as the chosen one, didn't start out with any special powers. What he did start out with, however, was his great capacity for love towards others. Literally from the moment he was born, he chose to help others by granting them safety within his heart, and throughout the series, it's been proven that the thing that really makes him special is his pure heart and his ability to forgive and see the good in others.
► FAMILIAR: Rohan is gonna make another appearance, and outside of Guardian form continue to look like a regular housecat (which is the form he's been favoring the most since leaving Greysol). In Guardian form, he'll turn into a large lion but with wings and horns and look super badass. Sparky will also act as a familiar, and continue to be a Shinx outside of battle. In Guardian form, he'll turn into something resembling his eventual final evolution of Luxray. Like a Luxray mega evolution almost. So, basically, his familiars are two big fucking lions.
Sora will also continue to use the Keyblade at it's normal level of power, but it will be in it's Ultima Weapon form (KH2 version).
► POWER: Most of Sora's new powers will be based around healing and protection, a sort of metaphor to using the love in his heart to save people. There's the traditional healing of wounds, of course, but also things like creating barriers to protect himself and others from harm. He can also call on Rohan and Sparky to attack and defend for him.
In addition, he still has access to all his traditional fighting abilities with the Keyblade.

AC bid: 0 points.
► SPARK: Beauty
► INTENSITY: 8
► EXPLANATION: Nui is from a world where clothing is literally power due to the life fibers woven into it, and holds the title of Grand Couturier in the world's biggest clothing company around. She demonstrates an interest in appearances and what people wear, and she's incredibly enthusiastic and energetic. Beauty is something that's important to her, and that interest has helped her find her place in the Carnival and tone down her more horrible instincts a bit.
► FAMILIAR: A toy poodle that walks around in a pink dress named Sparkles. Sparkles is mostly a talking animal companion who functions as a purse dog and powers guide for Nui, but possesses superhuman strength and durability on par with Nui's.
► POWER: Nui can create threads of pink light that can trap an enemy, weave shields to protect her allies, and she can do a larger energy beam that's shaped like pink hearts (think a care bear stare, only from her hands rather than her belly). She's got her other powers that she came in with, too.
⇨ HARBINGERS OF VOID APPLICATIONS
► CHARACTER NAME: Self explanatory.
► MAXIMUM AC BID: In this place, please respond with how many AC points (at maximum) you are able/willing to pay for the ability to guarantee yourself a slot. You can bid "30 pts", "20 pts", "10 pts", or "0 pts". In the event that there is overflow, those with the highest bids will get first dibs. You will only have to pay the minimum amount you'd have to pay to stay in the running, however, if you end up securing a slot. Those in the lowest bid category will the the ones put into the RNG roll if there is overflow.
THERE ARE 12 SLOTS FOR HARBINGERS OF VOID.
Remember, you can only submit an application for one character, if you have multiple. Please be realistic about your ability to participate, and avoid taking a role if you have reason to expect your time for the game will be limited over the next month. The mods will be paying attention to activity, and under-utilizing a slot may affect your ability to take up limit plot slots in the future.
If there are open slots remaining at the end of the first round of submissions (the first round will end Saturday night) then you will have the opportunity to request a second slot for an second character.
STEVEN UNIVERSE
► INTENSITY: 9
► EXPLANATION: Steven is more or less the heart and soul of his canon, and seems to be on an inevitable track towards shaping the fate of more than one world. He inspires positive change in almost everyone he meets, and would do just about anything to make the world a better place for the people around him. He's still young, but with abilities centering around growth, healing, and protection, he has a lot of offer to others. He's also creatively talented in a number of ways, including being a musical prodigy and not being too shabby at art, either.
► FAMILIAR: Amethyst and Lion are going to become his familiars. His weapon is still just going to be his shield with some thorns on it.
► POWER: On the most basic level, Steven's Spark of Growth will be enhancing his existing abilities of healing, plant growth/manipulation, and the ability to accelerate or take away from his own "growth" by aging and de-aging based on his emotions. He'll be able to "grow" plants into living creatures that will serve as minions, as well as steal "growth" from people by de-aging them into children if he can get his vines on them. He's also going to be aging himself up to a teenager, just like he should be.
While definitely literal, his power of growth is also metaphorical, in that he strives towards positive development in himself and inspires positive development in others. Many people around him have become better and stronger people as a result of their relationships, and he never lets up on wanting to improve himself, either. So he also has the potential to cause people to regress emotionally if he can poison them, though those effects will be temporary on player characters.
CARLY NAGISA
► INTENSITY: 8
► EXPLANATION: While Carly was no protagonist in canon, she's unearthed a lot of potential through the Carnival-and more importantly there's potential to be drawn from canon itself. Her desires as word-for-word put involve doing anything she can to not only help people toward their dreams, but do so in a way that creates more joy and happiness in the world. This mindset of hers single-handedly turns a rival character from someone who would risk people's lives to further his goals, into someone who willingly sacrifices himself for the sake of a greater good.
It's a passive sort of method, but one that can very much change how the active forces of the playing field are moving; so while it's not Maximum Intensity, it's still pretty intense-especially now that she has more of the confidence to actually try.
► FAMILIAR: Nuna the Marowak will be joining Carly as her familiar; when all powered up with things divided between them, she'll go from being Standard Marowak Size to Totem Size And Kinda Scary. RAD...
Carly will also have a Weapon, namely her cursed bow from the Manor. ....It won't be used for actual arrows though, just. Launching strings to other places. Nyoom-
► POWER: At its best, and Proper Positive State, 'Fulfillment' would have meant giving someone the final boost they needed to move onward, pulling someone toward the future or simply revealing for them the path ahead.
As a Harbringer, Carly's power naturally reverses; instead of pulling people toward success, she pulls them into failure, obscures the path instead of revealing it, etc etc.
Carly will first and foremost have her Fire-Magic, combined with the strings that factor heavily into her costume. This is largely useful for creating traps and barriers; webs, snares, and tripwires with strings, while the Demon Fire (which naturally drains energy) creates entire walls, forcing others to either pass through without knowing what's beyond/dealing with a drain in power, or simply turn another direction.
More directly, she'll be using her bow to not only launch her fire and strings at others, but use said string to start throwing things around. Like trashbins. Or bikes.
Or maybe people. (Naturally, actually being able to swing a Guardian around will vary entirely on That Guardian-not to mention how successful any traps and snares are)
Fitting in with existing weird summons and over-the-top-nonsense most of this will probably be preceded by weird playing around with strings in her hands. NONSENSE HAND MOTIONS Makes a spiderweb
HERBERT WEST
► INTENSITY: 9.
► EXPLANATION: Herbert's entire life is centred around his scientific creativity and his purpose of defeating death. And he literally never gives up on it, no matter the odds, no matter the results. He gets attacked every time by his creations and keeps trying his serum. He tries to create new life by adjusting his serum. He's in prison for 13 years with minimal resources and manages to invent soul jars. His tenacity makes him unstoppable.
► FAMILIAR: His familiar is a big male maribou stork that comes up to his shoulder.
► POWER: His weapon manifests as syringes, large metal and glass ones from the early 20th century full of reagent. He fights predominately from a distance if possible, his powers are all sharp, needles and sharp lashing reagent. He can also raise the dead as aggressive reagent corpses like in the film, reaching into them or pulling them up through the ground and assembling what flesh is left into shambled together creations if they've gone rotten.

RENZOU SHIMA | Spark: Perception, Intensity: 4
⇨ NOW FILL THIS OUT
► INTENSITY: What is the intensity of your character’s Spark? On a scale of 1-10, rate how much inner creative potential you think your character has. Creative potential is defined as “the ability or potential to give to the world or change it for the better, with the use of your ideas, passions, or talents.” This potential doesn’t have to be fully tapped in to, necessarily, but the possibility of it being used must be there. You can give to the world in a lot of ways, such as using your kindness to brighten to lives of others, or to creative art that enriches your culture. It can also be a potential to defend the things in the world that matter.
This essentially comes down to “how protagonist/messiah” your character is. This rating won’t have a major effect on things (unless your character has really shit potential), but it may affect how NPCs react to them. Sparks are judged on the same merits for both Guardians and Harbingers.
► EXPLANATION: Explain why you gave your character’s Spark the intensity rating you did. The mods may not necessarily agree with your reasoning and may adjust the number, but this is mostly here to give us an idea of how proficient of a magical girl they all are.
► FAMILIAR: Who or what is your character’s familiar? Do they only have a weapon? Do they mostly have animal companions? Your character can have no more than 4 familiars at absolute max. The more they have, they more the power will be divided between them.
► POWER: What magical abilities does your character’s Spark give them? These powers can be sort of fluid, but you’ll want to stick to a solid concept. Guardians and Harbingers are very powerful on a universal scale, and a team of them could comfortably take a True Fae head on. Just make sure they are fun to play off of!
