⇨ IIIT'S A CR MEME!

A WILD CR MEME APPEARS

Given that it's been a while since our last CR/plotting meme, this seemed well overdue!

This post is where you talk about what you are looking for in character relationships, and then respond to other people's posts to plot! You can be as long winded or as brief if you like - as long as you communicate what you are interested in doing.

New to this post is a 'Collective Objectives' section, which will be a toplevel below. This is for coordinating events or efforts that you want the input/organization of multiple characters on, making a big group log, or developing something have broader ramifications for the Carnival moving forward.

There is a form provided below for your convenience, but you don't have to fill everything out! It just needs to be enough information to give your fellow players an idea of what they have to work with.

CHARACTER NAME | ([personal profile] journalname)
Canon: (What canon are they from?)
Carnival Role: (What is their job? Maybe your characters could be working together.)
Length of Stay: (Are they new, a veteran, or somewhere in between?)
Skills/Powers: (Self-explanatory; a concise summary of their powers and a link to their IC info page is probably more than enough. )
Routine: (Does your character have a regular schedule people can bump into them easily? A place they like to hang out? Are they a night owl or an early bird?)
Current status in game: (What they've been up to recently, their mental state, and any recent important events or developments.)
Any current or future plans: (This could be things that you would like to happen, or ideas that you're currently working on. Where would you like to see your character go, or are you looking for suggestions? Is there something you'd like to do at the current carnival location? Are you trying to nail some bonuses/rewards over the next month?)
IC Assistance: (Do you have any specific IC goals that your character needs help with? Does your character need help with their act? Do you need someone to fill a specific role in their life?)
Desired CR: (Are you most interested in seeking out positive or negative CR? Friends? Dates? New enemies? Be as specific as you can.)
Shipping Preferences: (Yay or nay? Is roleplaying sexual content something you are interested in? Are you interested in one sided crushes? Let us know here.)
Permissions/Opt Outs: (Please link any permissions/opt out posts, if applicable, here so other people can fill it in. You can also use this to make a note of any content/subject matter you'd prefer to opt out of yourself.)
Additional Comments: (Tagging speed? Timezone woes? Funny gifs? Anything else you'd like to address.)

Yeah, sure, why not?

Childermass is the same variety of English magician that Strange is, only he's more on par with the typical power level than Mr. OP Protaganist up there when you exclude the shadow magic that he's picked up during his time with the carnival. What he does have over Strange is a fairly decent knowledge of magic, magical theory, history (though only English, so yeah), laws, and so on, since he's the one who had access to the Hurtfew Abbey library (doesn't read much my ass, this man is a liar).

His focus is in shadows, stealth, illusion, tracking to a very small extent, and fortune telling. With fae magic, it's definitely all shadow, all the time, and while he's capable of shapeshifting, he's not sure he's the best one to teach that.

However, he's less willing to act as a teacher for magic. The most he might be willing to try with is teaching his general "don't look here" spell and possibly some shadow manipulation, but he won't be sharing how he manages his shadow-stepping. He could technically also teach people how to read tarot, only he can't impart the actual magical skill for accurate readings. It's not really a spell to be taught.

Also flying, since people seem to keep getting wings around here, but that ain't magic.
