THEY REALLY ABSOLUTELY SHOULD? Oh Rita. It’s weird, but I think if Peridot wasn’t her boss, they would probably get along a lot worse? I don’t think Peridot would deal with Rita’s prickly personality very well, considering how easily offended she is when she’s on equal footing with people. But since she IS Rita’s boss, and Peridot’s management style revolves so steadily around being “cool” and accepted by everybody, she’s more easily able to take that sort of behavior. Which is good, because it lets her see more clearly how genuinely talented and useful of a tech Rita is! Someday, she may ask her some questions about magic in her own world, because that topic interests her more and more lately.
