Zecora | (zebrarhyme_everytime) Canon: MLP:FIM Carnival Role: Doctor Length of Stay: On her third year Current status in game: Exhausted. Being literally the only medical personnel after agent attacks and mushi invasions and all that is wearing her right the hell down, and she could use a break and an assistant. Any current or future plans: Zecora's role is really to enable other people to screw up, because she can always fix the problem. I love having her serve in the wise mentor role as well! IC Assistance: She could really use some competent assistance, even if that's just in an informal capacity -- people learning to make potions or provide basic care. Desired CR: Fire away. THE RINGMASTER

THE RINGMASTER | (lordofthering) Canon: Lost Carnival NPC Carnival Role: The RINGMASTER Length of Stay: Since ever. Current status in game: Pissed off about vampires and about to engage in some shenanigans for the greater good. The rest of her life is mostly a mystery. Any current or future plans: She's probably about to piss some people off. IC Assistance: The Ringmaster is all the Ringmaster needs. Desired CR: Down for whatever. Shipping Preferences: It's not actually that difficult to get the Ringmaster to have sex with you, if your character makes a point of going for it. Beyond that, it's not clear whether romance is actually something she does. She's a lot more interested in your romantic life. Additional Comments: Obviously there are limits to what I can do with a central NPC, but if you want to establish what kind of reactions your character has to her and what kind of CR you imagine they'd be developing, go ahead and tell me here! I do my best to formulate her opinion of everyone in the game, so having OOC help is advantageous.

SANS THE SKELETON (THE WARDEN)

SANS THE SKELETON | (osteothropy) Canon: Undertale Carnival Role: The Warden, aka the popo. Length of Stay: Three years ish. Current status in game: Sans is doing basically okay, at the moment. He's worked some stuff out with Papyrus, and even if there is still a lot unsaid the fact that he no longer has to try to avoid his only family is a plus. However, he is actively resentful (increasingly so) of the Ringmaster, and has been feeling more strongly about that ever since the Supervisors discovered that the carnival was still marked by their vampire assailants from months back. He is 100% sure she is going to get more people killed. Any current or future plans: Not specifically. I'd like to do something to help get the security team solidified into more of a unit. So... a training log? An annoying meeting with Sans? What do you think? IC Assistance: No thanks. Beside maybe helping him curb his terrible alcoholic tendencies. Desired CR: I'm open to negative CR, but Sans is perfectly capable of making that without my help. I'd absolutely like for him to develop some particularly close relationships, though, since that's been something he's been working on for a while. Shipping Preferences: Open to shipping, as much as Sans is able. Gender isn't an issue. He's dimly romantic and largely asexual, though. Additional Comments: Also he will rek troublemakers.

Ashleigh Mischief | (amusicaladventure) Canon: OC Carnival Role: Performer Length of Stay: Just a few months now! Current status in game: Booored. The underwater adventure is fun, but the Matrix sure was not. Ash is feeling restless and unfocused, which is a lingering problem and flaw of hers anyway, and would love the chance to stir up trouble or adventure! Any current or future plans: She's slated to go help annoy Tamatoa. Beyond that, I'm really interested in having her arrogance and restlessness cause trouble -- she's convinced she can handle anything that comes her way, not entirely without justification, and is likely to get in a mess when she's not on good behavior. IC Assistance: Anyone want to jam with her? Or join her musical act? Desired CR: Aaaanything. Shipping Preferences: Go for it. I'm amazed Ash hasn't managed to hook up with anyone yet, honestly. AMETHYST | (drrdrrdrr) Canon: Steven Universe Carnival Role: Bouncer/Wrestler Length of Stay: She's been here like neaaarly two years Current status in game: DOIN OK, hasn't been up to TOO much recently because I've been dead but she's probably been doin the usual... bein obnoxious... collecting trash... pouring Koel's kitchen leftovers into her mouth like she's one of those plastic animal shaped garbage cans... BUT ALSO training real hard when no one's around to heckle her about it because she has to protect Steven now? Don't talk to her about this she'll get mad Any current or future plans: NO SPECIFIC ONES, NO IC Assistance: I GUESS LIKE IF ANYONE WANTS TO WRESTLE HER ON STAGE, Desired CR: I would like Amethyst to make more friends so she can cause friction with them by being a turd. STEVEN UNIVERSE | (starseedling) Canon: Steven Universe Carnival Role: Showman Length of Stay: A couple months ish. Current status in game: Steven got shot by a bullet in the Matrix, which gave him a crippling fear of death by guns. When the Agents directly attacked the carnival he totally froze up - though partially that was because he's unknowingly tapped into fae magic to fully awaken his empathic abilities. He's currently capable of sensing and gently communicating via emotions - currently this is manifesting in him having gathered an entourage of fish and crustaceans who are attracted to his soothing presence. He's not really doing anything special, but he's still recovering from his near death experience. Any current or future plans: Steven is going to be going for a rip with his dad in the van and probably getting kidnapped by Tamatoa in the process. IC Assistance: Steven needs more showmen to work with! He does best while assisting other people in their acts. Right now he's working with Lapis to provide stage presence where she has none, and he's going to be voicing Tamatoa in a satirical theatrical piece with Lauren and Childermass. But in the long term, He'd like more connections. Desired CR: It's probably going to end up positive, though I'd be happy to throw him at some people who make positive CR more difficult - provided they aren't Too Scary for Steven to deal with. Sans basically considers Amethyst to be second in command, for the record. She better hope she can be as sterling of an example as he is.

Jamie Hemeros | (mildwildchild) Canon: Zoids Carnival Role: Repairman Length of Stay: like 2 days idk Current status in game: confused, mostly. Any current or future plans: mostly I just need to get involved and do things. Establishing a working relationship with the other people in the engineering department would be good. Otherwise, getting him acclimated to the carnival in general is all I've got in mind right now. IC Assistance: people to help him figure out how things work around the carnival, mostly. He mostly just wants to keep his head down and do his job. Desired CR: Anything? As mentioned, rapport with his co-workers would be a good start. He's a pretty straitlaced, serious, logical sort, so he's easy to troll if you're so inclined. Since he's brand-new I mainly want to test the waters and see what develops. Shipping Preferences: I'm generally open to shipping, but it's not at the top of my priorities and he's pretty young, so. If you really want something with him we can talk it out, I guess? Steven will offer to help out in the doctor tent in an unofficial capacity. Performing doesn't take up all of his time, and his spit can be pretty handy. It's usually good for at least dealing with surface wounds, but its effectiveness will vary depending on his feels. It can also heal non-organic stuff, which is a plus.

Honestly though it'd be interesting to do something more dynamic with these two. The trouble is that part of why they get along is because they both like to act super shallow and avoid emotional intimacy. Fuckles!

I do find it a bit difficult to turn out Sans nonsense without a straight-man sometimes though so I've been trying to think of something we could focus on.

Greg Universe | (fragileandsoft) Canon: Steven Universe Carnival Role: SFX/Lighting repairman Length of Stay: a couple months Current status in game: Greg's spent the last several weeks pretty miserable, first because he just doesn't want to be here, and then his son got shot. Everything has been largely unpleasant and demoralizing, but he's started his uphill battle towards optimism again. A big help in that battle was getting his old van back; it's mobile, it's reliable, and it's something that's his. Greg revels in having something familiar and stable in this constantly shifting environment. Any current or future plans: gonna have a fun underwater drive and get kidnapped by Tamatoa IC Assistance: he could benefit from people helping get more comfortable with magic, but mostly Greg just wants friends. Desired CR: Looking mostly for positive; Greg avoids conflict whenever possible. Adults he can relax with, children he can look after, he'd benefit from a support circle. Shipping Preferences: The man's got a huge amount of baggage in this area, but if you're patient and willing to work with him give it a go. Additional Comments:

Steven is probably the most likely one to take notice of Jamie, considering that Jamie's boss is his honorary little sister and his coworker is Steven's dad. Also, technically they are the same age! Even though Steven still sort of looks and acts like a preteen.

Jonathan Strange | (kingsroads) Canon: Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell Carnival Role: Magician & mercenary Length of Stay: icly, a month and a bit Current status in game: in the running for most trouble. Strange got brought in after he drove himself mad and then proceeded to accidentally set his bud on fire, get shot, magically summon a handful of carnival workers to his trailer, creep on a secret meeting, and magically vanish a pineapple from the kitchen, not necessarily in that order. So he's doing peachy! They're in Faerie! Faerie's cool! Whoo hoo magic! Time to just ignore all the warning signs about vampires & all that trauma from the Matrix! Any current or future plans: Let's be a creepy motherfucker about death! In canon, Strange has brought people back from the dead in a gross corpsy way and his mentor, Mr. Norrell brought someone back from the dead in a much less gross sort of sane way (except technically a faerie brought her back but details). Strange has been trying to bring his wife back from the dead and that's part of the reason why he's here. So HELLO there people who've been resurrected in canon/ingame, don't mind Strange as he asks some straight up rude questions about how you died. I am 100% up for some great negative or positive cr to come out of this. Also, probably punch a crab or visit a sea witch or do something fun and straight up dangerous in Atlantis. And probably make a post or something soon because people keep using canon specific terms around him and he straight up forgets to ask what they are, stop that, wtf is a meepmorp anyway. IC Assistance: I mean Childermass would probably appreciate it if somebody else babysat kept an eye on Strange and stopped him from causing all the trouble but aside from that, I can't really think of much. ETA: no, I forgot something, who wants to help make certain Strange actually does his goddamn job? Desired CR: WHO LIKES TO TALK ABOUT MAGIC! Because it is no secret that Strange cannot shut the hell up about magic and faeries and the Raven King and stuff like that. So I'd love for more cr that's sort of comparing worlds and how they treat magic/faeries/whatever. But really, I am 100% up for any sort of cr no matter what! Shipping Preferences: NOPE. LOL that's a good way of putting it. I enjoy the dynamic they have but whenever it comes to threading them just being stupid boobs its always like "do we really need the play by play" which is sort of funny but also difficult.

Just gotta get the drama mills going when there is something appropriate happening. I mean, Sans has been opening up a little bit with his ~Feels~ recently, which... could potentially cause some drama? Since Amethyst is so anti feelings that way.

It's gotta be possible to have them be socially inept at each other in a more conflict causing way.

Sans likes magic. He usually tries to avoid showing off what a huge nerd he is because caring about stuff makes you into a sucker, but it comes out anyway if you manage to engage him in magical discussion. Monsters have a very scientific approach to magic, at least in the way he does it, and so it's basically like talking to a Theoretical Physics master except it's actually about magic.

He's been pointedly studying the differences and similarities between fae and monster magic for a couple years now, so he's definitely be interested in hearing about another type.
