[ At first, it’s funny, watching Strange flounder with her makeup. But then her mascara brush hits the ground, and then her bronzer— ]

You! How can a grown man be so clumsy?!

[ The bronzer she could do without for a while, but her mascara?? ]

There's around fifteen or so things! I can't help it if I dropped some!

[ Jonathan "needlessly defensive" Strange ]

Take them out one at a time, idiot!

[ ughhh, this is a mess! So many little bits to pick up, but fine, she’ll kneel down to start gathering what’s left of her poor bronzer. ]

I wanted to see what all my options were before deciding what to use.

[ VERY CAREFULLY AND SLOWLY, Strange starts taking out the eyeshadows, like he's being a deliberate asshole. ]

[ She should have seen if Carly had anything to spare before bringing out her personal items. ]

What, never seen someone put on makeup before? You don’t gotta think that hard about it!

[ Says the one who’s been doing this for years ]

I don't know what half of this stuff is! We didn't have highlighter back in my time.

[He's had plenty of time to learn about cosmetics since he got here, so obviously he should have mastered this early on.]

[ in strange's mind, that's bullshit logic. of course he's gonna use all of it. ]

[Where to begin. As funny as this is, can she stand to watch him demolish any of her palettes? Is that a risk she's willing to take? No, it isn't, and she lets on a sigh, reaching to snatch her bag from him.]

[ There's a grumble that might be something along the lines of "URGH, FINE, I'LL DO THIS." And when he returns, Strange's face is washed and it looks a lot more like himself and a lot less like that vine with the kid and Sam Smith ]

[She's still mad that he broke her stuff!! But she's going to see this through. She might be a cheater and lazy, but no one ever called Kirigakure Shura a quitter!]

Sit down. [There's a bench over there! Shura jerks her hand towards it, hoping he'll stop complaining whenever she gets started on his face.]

[ And Strange sits his butt down and patiently waits for Shura to get the makey makeover on the road. ]

[Now that she has a place to set down things, she can g et them out and sorted before getting down to business. By the end of this, Strange is going to look pretty. BB cream, concealer, blush since he wrecked her bronzer--all of the good stuff. The only problem is that she's not used to doing someone else's face, so Strange has ample time to whine or start wiggling.]

[ to whine, wiggle, or do something worse. Because as soon as she gets out the brush for the blush and starts putting it on, Strange tries his hardest to hold still, fails as the brush starts tickling nearish his nose, and then fails even more as he straight up sneezes.

He covers his sneeze because he is a GENTLEMAN and not a rude person, but that doesn't change the fact that there's some snot on the brush now. ]

[She can tell he's trying. On the other hand, her brush?? This is the third thing of hers he's ruined in like thirty minutes!! For a moment, she's almost speechless, brush frozen mid-air before she very gingerly sets it down like the bio-hazard it is.]

I'll kill you if you do anything else.

[There's some hand sanitizer in her bag, and she'll be using a generous dollop on her hands before she does anything else.]

I didn't mean to break things and do all this, you know! [ WHINE WHINE WHINE BITCH BITCH MOAN.

but to his credit, he is trying really hard to stand still, not sneeze, or not do anything that causes Shura to drop something when she inevitably goes back in for the make-up attempt. ]

Your wife deserves a medal for puttin' up with you.

[She'll try to finish up the blush with another brush, though she'll be very careful. Then it's eye shadow and eye liner and some lipstick, provided she doesn't stab him in the eye. Alas, no mascara for killer lashes since Strange went and contaminated that brush.]

I'll be the first to admit that.

[ and that's all Strange says before remaining as still as possible and letting Shura go to town with the cosmetics! He's actually staying still, even if there was a little instinctual tensing up with the eye liner went right near his eyeball. ]

[exaomori]

I'm gonna puke if you say somethin' like that again.

[Were all couples like that? Childermass and Lambert, she almost got that. They were pretty new. Maybe it was newlywed bliss.

But since he's actually being decent, she'll be able to finish her work. So maybe he's not the most beautiful man here, but he certainly looks sharper than most of them.]

Do you have a mirror? [ asks the person who's literally 50% mirrors. ] I want to see how I look!

[ Weirdly enough, Strange is antsy and curious about all of this. He's never work make-up before, this is something new and interesting! ]

[exaomori]

Yeah, sure.

[There's a moment of hesitation when she pulls the compact out, but she'll give in and hand it over to him. If nothing else, it's cheap and not a big loss if he breaks it.]

Like it?

[It's actually a little classy! His skin tone doesn't really match hers, but it's a good try.]

[kingsroads]

[ And Strange moves the mirror around, trying to get a better look at himself. This...isn't as bad as he thought! Granted, the lipstick feels intensely weird, but everything else looks quite nice. ]

There is no way in hell I'd be able to apply whatever that is on my eyes as smoothly as you did. I can't say I like it, but it's certainly better than whatever I could have done.

[ enjoy that admission of Strange's inability to do something, it's one of the few times it's gonna happen. ]

[And now to shove all of her things into her bag before Strange can break anything else.]

I'll have to see if Carly has anything for mascara, jeez. The other stuff I can do without for a while, but that one...

[and now it's her turn to grumble out loud to herself]

I said I was sorry! [ he whines. ] If there's any way I can fix it with my magic, simply say so.
