Makes sense, that helps keep things simple.
It occurs to me that they'd be differentiated by
how
they feel about their bodies, rather than their bodies, anyway; light would probably be more blasé and self-accepting, while dark's riddled with self-loathing and fears. I see ways I could get my idea to work with this. Thank you!
