► SPARK: What is your character’s Spark? A Spark is a passion, talent, or concept that your character holds dear to their heart, and is somehow formative to the person they are. Sparks are always something positive… you can’t really have the Spark of “murder” or “rage” or “jealousy.” In the case of a Harbinger, this Spark is twisted and inverted to cause destruction. For a Guardian, this Spark is usually played straight in order to defend and enrich the world.
► INTENSITY: What is the intensity of your character’s Spark? On a scale of 1-10, rate how much inner creative potential you think your character has. Creative potential is defined as “the ability or potential to give to the world or change it for the better, with the use of your ideas, passions, or talents.” This potential doesn’t have to be fully tapped in to, necessarily, but the possibility of it being used must be there. You can give to the world in a lot of ways, such as using your kindness to brighten to lives of others, or to creative art that enriches your culture. It can also be a potential to defend the things in the world that matter.
This essentially comes down to “how protagonist/messiah” your character is. This rating won’t have a major effect on things (unless your character has really shit potential), but it may affect how NPCs react to them. Sparks are judged on the same merits for both Guardians and Harbingers.
► EXPLANATION: Explain why you gave your character’s Spark the intensity rating you did. The mods may not necessarily agree with your reasoning and may adjust the number, but this is mostly here to give us an idea of how proficient of a magical girl they all are.
► FAMILIAR: Who or what is your character’s familiar? Do they only have a weapon? Do they mostly have animal companions? Your character can have no more than 4 familiars at absolute max. The more they have, they more the power will be divided between them.
► POWER: What magical abilities does your character’s Spark give them? These powers can be sort of fluid, but you’ll want to stick to a solid concept. Guardians and Harbingers are very powerful on a universal scale, and a team of them could comfortably take a True Fae head on. Just make sure they are fun to play off of!
