He remembers the part Strange told him about before and it does interest him. The Elder Dragons in Tyria basically circulate magic in and out of accessibility (by consuming it, so it doesn't disappear like English Magic did, but it does get hoarded up by a huge beast to use instead) and as it turns out releasing all that magic at once is... explosively dangerous, so large-scale movement of magic is exactly what he wants to hear about.

If only Strange could tell him how the Raven King took it away to begin with.
