⇨ END OF EVENT PROPOSAL
THE HUNT 2.0↴ After two days in the remains of the Heartstone Manor, a plan of action has been brought to the Ringmaster's attention. Specifically, a plan to challenge the Prince to a contest, with the hopes that the carnival's spinning of the situation will enable them to defeat the Prince's forces in one fell stroke. It's fairly common knowledge at this point that one of the Prince's captives, the Warden, was returned to the carnival after having his True Name stolen - a magical practice that can strip a being of its identity and bind them helplessly to however possesses their Name. In this case, it was the Prince stealing his name - and it was in order to make a point. Unless the Ringmaster gives in an settles, the same fate will eventually befall all of the Prince's captives, and when taken to the extreme, life without one's True Name can be considered a fate worse than death. Based on servant testimony, a more gentle version of this binding ritual has been used on every one of the Prince's servants, depriving them of their name and thus ensuring absolute control over them. Fortunately, this has opened up an opportunity for some trickery. The intent is to challenge the Prince to a contest - if the carnival wins, he will give them back a single True Name, and if the Prince wins, the Ringmaster will return the Blue Rose. Naturally, the Prince will be anticipating that they plan to ask for the Warden's name back, given that several members have been greatly affected by what he's been reduced to. Of course, in reality, the carnival intends to exploit this in order to gain something much greater: the True Name of the being that makes up the body of the Manor itself - a creature that is known to the servants to be alive and with a will, but trapped by the same restrictions they are. If they can trick him into giving over the Manor's name, it will allow them to have it abolish his fortress, and hopefully defeat him handily. As of the start of Day 178, the Ringmaster will present the offer of this challenge to the Prince, and after some discussion, they will work out the specifics of their faerie challenge. It is to be a second Hunt - this time, with captives from the carnival turned into beasts and hunted, instead of former servants. ►THE AGREEMENT:

Are flying mounts (such as large flighted Pokémon like Nosh) disallowed under these rules or is that alright?
Spiritual sense falls under wacky ESP sensing stuff, y/n?

I guess this question can also be "how alike can a captive's regular and hunted forms be".

2) Will 9S' usual method of fighting (telekinetically controlling his weapon, just with technology instead of magic) and robot lasers also count as magic as far as the Prince is concerned?

Will all clothes/accessories be lost upon transformation, or will they change with them, or is it up to us?
Main reason for asking is for Rita's blastia (her choker) which she never takes off. I'm guessing the choices for something like that are 1) it just transforms with her, 2) she continues to wear the blastia (in some way) as a beast, 3) she loses the blastia and has to get it back after they get the manor's true name.

Is it safe to assume that, for their own safety, anyone who is dosed with the lovely Prince's poison that was rescued is to stay at the Carnival, and Definitely Not sit around with RM and the Prince while waiting for results

⇨ PREY SIGNUPS
► They are something that would actually be hard to hunt, either because they are dangerous or elusive, but nothing over the top impossible. This is intended to be fair.
► They will still have stone patches wherever they did as a humanoid, though they will have become mobile while they serve the Prince's needs. This stone patches will continue to be resistant to damage.
► They will see carnival members only as enemies and threats for the duration of the hunt, and will be too animal brained to really comprehend otherwise.
► No bigger than, like, 10-foot at the shoulder quadrupeds or 15-foot bipeds.
► Please describe what form they will be taken in your reply to this comment, including whatever special abilities they will have. (Fire-breathing, etc.)
GONGENZAKA | SIN-YOU
Having been relatively enormous to begin with, it's debatable if he's larger or smaller this way. The Sin-you is a massive quadruped, standing six foot at the shoulder with a relatively long and upright neck. The stone along his body, having spread rather extensively, coats much of where the scales of his body would be-actual scales are patched along with this, making it tricky to determine what is armored and what is not. (This also makes the Sin-you mostly brown, so.)
The Sin-you has a thick mane around the neck, along the chest and back, running down the end of the tail, and finally large amounts of fur gathering at the tip of the tail and along the joints of the limbs. Most of this mane appears to be red; however a thick lock on the left side of the beast's mane is instead ivory (representing Gongenzaka's lone arm).
The Sin-you is in addition to the rocky armor armed with;
> A set of barbel whiskers, which aid in detecting approaching hunters (it's FAR from impossible to catch him off guard, let alone be outpaced by him however-this is more something that makes it easier for him to face any attackers head on)
> A set of pronged antlers moving backward on the head, and a single, enormous 'blade' of a horn pointing forward as well.
> Claws. Teeth. Being big. You know, animal things.
> Get too close to the mane, and the hair will snag on the unsuspecting-it's nowhere near as versatile as Gongenzaka's former vines, but it's similar enough that it's best to take this beast on at mid to long range.
coughArrowscoughOh and he glows blue in the dark.
That might be something handy for catching them.
Joker
But yes, Joker will be taking the form of a winged deer, because of course he will be. Signs of his petrification will show in a small mark along his cheek, and one of his back legs being almost entirely stone. One of his front legs (the right one) is also completely missing.
This would be a problem if not for his large pair of magpie wings, which will enable him to fly and thus be more of a pain in the ass.
Besides this, there's only one other trick he'll have up his wings: mimicking sounds, taking after the more corvid side of him. He'll use this to mess with pursuers.
no subject
As a magical creature, he's far larger than any regular boar, standing about five feet at the shoulder and weighing a good half a ton of muscle and spite. Thanks to the extent of the petrification he's undergone, his whole hindquarters and patches along his shoulders and neck will be made of eerie, living rock animated by the Prince's power. What little of him isn't covered by stone is all thick hide covered with dense, golden bristles that repels ordinary projectiles and weapons. However, as good as a defensive characteristic as they are, they also make him incredibly visible: the bristles glow gold in dim light, making it impossible to conceal himself in shadows.
In sum, his abilities/characteristics are:
► Thick hide, resistant to ordinary weapons, that constantly emits golden light.
► Durable, golden hooves and large tusks to trample and gore any hunter that draws near.
► Incredible speed -- in this form, he's faster than a horse.
► Can run on water and air just as he can on land.
► Spontaneously causes patches of celandine flowers to grow wherever his hooves step.
Rita Mordio | Phoenix
As a phoenix, she'll take the form of a large bird with wings the color of fire. She attacks with her large beak and long, sharp talons. Part of her right wing has been turned to stone, along with a portion of her neck and chest, but that doesn't impede her flight, and it certainly won't stop her from grabbing a hunter, flying up, and dropping them. She commands the element of fire: with a heavy beating of her wings, she can rain fire down on her enemies. Occasionally, she can turn her entire body into fire for a short burst, avoiding harm and burning up anything in her path.
While a phoenix would normally be fond of high places, this one prefers to avoid heights. The good news is that, even when she flies up to avoid hunters, she'll usually be within range of arrows. The bad news is that between fight and flight, she's choosing to fight, and will be extremely aggressive when threatened.
Susan | Faerie Dragon
These dragons are about the size of a housecat (just under 2' long), with scaled bodies (in Susan's case, yellow) and butterfly wings (also yellow). His left "shoulder" down to almost his "elbow" are stone.
Faerie dragons like staying in the company of others, and as such he will mostly be around his brother. Boys gotta stick together.
ABILITIES:
► Flight
► Temporary invisibility
► "Euphoria breath" - very short range breath that temporarily makes you flee or unable to move
► Magic resistance (although no one is using magic so ???)
Lauren // Kirin
Powers/Extra-Abilities Include:
► Heightened senses.
► Walking or running on air.
► Breathing fire, when threatened.
► Sense alignment, Kirin can tell 'good' souls from 'evil' ones.
► Restoration, Kirin can heal individuals from physical or spiritual afflictions.
Disposition:
The Kirin is peaceful by nature and doesn't harm other creatures unless provoked. It will only attack in self defense or in defense of others.

Like a big cat he does a lot of lurking in ambush and then bursting out, very fast and strong but without a lot of endurance. More inclined to smacking things with his face than properly biting, a lingering effect from how as a bird he fights by hitting things with his wings and pecking, but uh. That's still gonna hurt.
Special abilities?
Mottled feathering that breaks up his silhouette and blends well with the dappling of shadow under trees. He's hard to see when he's holding still.
Roars good, voice has that tiger quality where the depth and decibels can rattle you and make you freeze up. Tons of characters can push past that and then ignore the ringing in their ears though.
...that's about it. Can charge very fast, bite or swing his head well, keen senses, big, but he's a nonmagical dinosaur.
Yugo | Amphithere
HUNTER COORDINATION
With that blue rose finale stipulation, each beast taken down = losing at least one hunter. So we could easily hunt in groups, taking care to only have 1 person do the claiming, and let the remaining people go find other groups to help out.
This way the ones who find out they don't (or no longer) have the stomach for it have a good excuse to get out, and the ones who can keep going do.
Just mind that 1 hour 1 minute time limit
