No but really, Susan strikes her as a pretty smart kid to Carly! Still a kid, mind, even if he's apparently a bit older than he looks (Whoops, she's logging THAT one away), but a smart one. And definitely still a kid. Carly hasn't really known too many kids in the past, so she doesn't actually have a lot of social experience about 'talking to kids'-the result is an interesting one, where she tends to try explaining things that she figures someone wouldn't know right away, but also finds it hard to sugar coat things in the way that one typically would for kids. Actually any sugar coating is...generally just because SHE doesn't want to deal with the reality, which is an interesting subversion suffice to say.
In any case, she does feel that maybe Susan could stand to Not look for trouble too much-give Lauren a break!
Buuuuut Lauren can also be dumb. It's true. She actually wishes that date with him had gone well, way back when....
She should buy you ice cream Susan. You like ice cream right?
