9S gets a similar feeling from Syr that he gets when he observes Lambert; this is a guy who knows how to handle bad situations practically relatively calmly (even if he doesn't necessarily feel calm). Though he thinks Syr is probably less prone to explosiveness the way Lambert exploded over the radios. Maybe.

He really appreciated Syr taking the time to show his magic, as well as answer all his questions about sylvari. To be honest, the calm, intelligent way Syr answered his questions and the way Syr enquired about things in 9S' world is the main reason 9S considers Syr and his people (who are made in the image of humans, similar to androids) as equals to androids instead of something as low as machines. (It's a fine line with this boy.) And that's important. While all his other Nightrunner workmates (at the time of the manor), 9S treats as above him for being human, Syr is the only one he considers an equal. Basically, he considers Syr a really good workmate because of that and the above mentioned 'can handle bad situations relatively calmly' statement.
