considering they went from portland > blowing stuff up > him using mind powers > the hunt, they've been through a good variety of situations now! how much has rita wanting to punch him increased

The one thing Rita would openly praise Lambert for in a non-backhanded way is that he gets things done, which she kind of respects.

In a more Rita fashion (so...backhanded), she’d say he’s smarter than he looks. Her first impression of him was that he was probably a dumb brute, which he’s partly disproven by displaying his knowledge of chemistry (an interest she shares!) and his process of investigating situations. She appreciates his resourcefulness.

Of course, there are some things about Lambert she’s not so keen on. He lost some respect points for his casual use of mind control magic, which runs counter to what Rita considers ethical magic. Blowing people to pieces? That’s fair. But messing with someone’s free will? Not cool. That’s what fae do, and fae suck.

At the end of the day, though, Lambert is someone she trusts to watch her back, even if she doesn’t totally respect him as an authority figure (but then, when has Rita respected anyone’s authority?) and may find him to be a jerk at times.
