Squeaking in just under the wire. Hello, I am ten, and I am new to Carnival. I picked up Blue here, who is one of three matriarchs of the Diamond Authority. She's uh. Rather condescending in a 'you're all pets and I love you' sort of way with ONE GLARING EXCEPTION, and will now be working in administration with Treasury and Acquisitions as part of a bargain instead of accidentally turning up.

Aw, Peri will be okay! She's Yellow's and Blue doesn't poach or step on another diamond's toes. She'll observe from afar and wonder how Peridot kept her mind while being obviously corrupted.

Hello! I am ten. It looks like Blue's headed towards acquisitions and treasury! they may cross paths in the line of work but not in the exactly coworkers sense.

NICE! Yeah even if they don't cross paths much bc of work, I'm sure they'll run into each other some other way. Blue is pretty hard to miss.

Anyway, even if she's not a direct threat to Peridot, Peri is still going to be an extremely anxious little gremlin about this, just bc. Y'know. She has a (healthy?) fear of diamonds. Like, she's at least not as pants-shittingly terrified of Blue as she is of Yellow, but also she has spent well over a year Living the Rebel Lyfe(tm) and has loosened up a lot in her time at the carnival, so just the knowledge of Blue's presence in this realm is going to harsh her Cool Guy Boss Vibe pretty hard at first.

(Plus she's super protective of Lapis and Steven, ofc. So.)

Let's face it being terrified of the diamonds is perfectly reasonable. It's probably gonna be a while before Blue even realizes that IS a peridot thanks to event! But WHEN THEY DO with memories intact..!!!

What's the timespan of her arrival exactly? Like is there basically like, a day where news travels around the carnival that Blue is here, and then the event hits?

Mostly just want to know how shocked Peridot'll be once everything is back to normal and then hoshit blue diamond

I think there's a couple days ICly between arrival and event beginning. Plenty of time for rumors to spread.

Currently I'm dabbling with making Blue a demon for the event, but I don't have any super concrete plans yet. Peri's a werebat?

Goddamn, demon blue sounds like a good time... IDK if that leaves us much room to make any connections via AU backstory, but I'm sure we'll have a chance to mash them together over the course of the actual event B)b

Currently, Blue is the mother of a half-demon college-aged Rin, and has been in Portland mucking around seducing people into evil for a while now. She won't have any memories of this particular life, but given Greg is involved in the supernatural and has a half-spawn of his own, they may have encountered each other in the past.

awww yeah. Man, BD's attitude towards humans reminds me of one of my grade school OCs, a giant dragon genetic engineer. Maybe that influences why I like her so much.
