To be honest it's kind of terrifying but KIND OF EXCITING so this is great. :X RE: making it with magic, I'm not familiar enough with Rita's canon to know how magic works, but if she needs super specific materials to set it up that she doesn't already have on hand, SFX tech might be the safer way to go. :X Like I said on Plurk, it's probably going to include some kind of COORDINATED EXPLOSION + THREE POINT LANDING situation at the end to make you feel really epic.
