Nic is deaf and is learning both sign language and how to write and read. He can read lips, so that's helpful. He's known in his world as a Twilight -- a subhuman sect of super soldiers reliant on their serums -- which requires him to always wear government-tracking dog tags. He's been given the jobs mercenary and acrobat, which I'm going to have loads of fun with. There will be lots of fail. Loads.
