Yeah, I'd say that it can mitigate it a bit. Sans would say that it "might", mostly because they never really got any test data on it (which is for the best.)

Gild and Ignatius are both willing to help with that sort of thing, since they are coming along. The combo of Papyrus being only half effected and the protective coating will make his connection fainter than average, though.
