Hey all - I feel pretty glum to be making this announcement, but I think anyone who's seen my activity (or lack thereof) over the last month might not be too surprised to see this. I'm dropping Tigerstar from the game for personal reasons (which I'll explain a little bit under the cut).
I will be setting up a musebox for folks who want to keep threading with him in various scenarios, but sadly the leader of TigerClan is going to be cutting off his stay with the carnival a bit early.
To explain a little - I've been caught up in a lot of family trouble and a bit of a personal crisis related to that, and it's gotten in the way of rp for me a bit. Seeing as I have no clue when the current situation is going to clear up (since it has the potential to last for years), along with the other factors below, I think it would be best for me to withdraw from a lot of my rp obligations so I have more time to take care of myself and also to handle my own life problems.
Secondly, I think it's safe enough for me to say that Tigerstar here is a bit of a joke. Not in the harsh way, but simply in that a lot of what motivated me to app him in was that I thought it would be funny - which is all well and good at the start, but I'll admit I didn't put a lot of serious thought into his future with the carnival because I was so caught up in the novelty of playing a talking cat. That's not to say there's anything wrong with joke characters, of course, I'm just not really cut out for playing one long-term, given how much my motivation to write him has suffered once the initial excitement wore off.
Annnd lastly, though I hate to say it, I think I'm just not a good fit with this game. LC has an established, ongoing story, and a lot of the cast is already pretty entrenched in it - which unfortunately hasn't been very good for my own anxieties trying to get Tigerstar on board (in part because, again, he's a joke character). I do know from past experience that I have a pretty bad time of breaking in CR in rp settings where a lot is already going on, and I really should have taken that into consideration more before apping here.
I think Lost Carnival is a lovely game with a lot of wonderful writers and artists breathing life into it, but as much as it pains me to say it, I don't think it's the game for me. Thank y'all so much for the warm welcomes and kindness - I won't be playing anymore, but I'll definitely still be keeping an ear out for the stories you weave together here. <3
