I'm going to be honest that, on an OOC level, I would have preferred having been pointed his way threaded out, if only so I'd be able to figure out better if this is even anything Childermass can help with at all. Him having shadow magic still doesn't impart any clue regarding shadowspeak or shadow elementals, for example.

As for his magic, there's the problem of Carly literally being a being of bright light at this point in time. What he does requires existing shadows close at hand. Is that something she would be able to manage?
