It's a tight wrap on purpose with his thumb pressing down lightly to smooth it into place. Once he's sure it is bound in place he'll allow that red to soak through. Even if it doesn't stop the bleeding entirely the pressure might help in the long run.

Or so he's led to believe. There are a lot he didn't like to see about himself and his reflections glance at each other briefly before looking back with their eerie grins. It's to the point that while they are silent they are almost faceless. "But there is truth in that mirrors can be shattered. Reflections can change."
