Hey, it was cool in the Underground to wander into Monsters' houses unannounced. But it's probably easier for everybody if they stayed put. Frisk's not sure they wouldn't be able to resist poking around this place if they wandered.

They've gone through so many things prior to coming here. A few or more minutes waiting around isn't pushing the envelope.
