For once, this is one fairy tale where the food isn’t the problem. So long as you pay, anyway, but Joker is willing to do a bit of “charity” here, so to speak. Workers are fed simply as part of the deal for staying here and working off their debt, and he doesn’t mind using that loophole for folks he’s trying to charm. He gestures for Kerubim to have a seat at one of the many tables that are around the cookhouse.
“Wait right here, and I’ll be back in a tic.” After all, as a supervisor and someone who’d been around a while, the cooks know him well enough. It only takes him a couple of minutes, maybe five at most, before he’s back balancing one tray in his hand expertly. Some sort of foreign fish on a stick, a bit of chicken (probably), and something that’s been deep fried to hell and back. He thinks it’s probably some sort of sweet.
Setting it down, he plops down into a seat himself and gestures to it. “Help yerself.” If anything doesn’t get eaten, well, there are plenty of hungry things around the carnival. While he lets Kerubim have his pick, Joker keeps talking. “Now, here at the carnival, we could use all types for all sorts of jobs… but I wouldn’t want ta bore ya with operatin’ a game booth. Seems a right waste for someone like you. But dependin’ on what other skills ya have, I think our boss could find real interestin’ positions for ya.” It’s not up to Joker, after all, although he can always make suggestions. “Security, somethin’ in the spotlight… And we’re always lookin’ for good scouts to look into our next travel spot. Any of that sound like yer kinda business, or should I keep goin’?”
