[ Several things occur to him when Gilgamesh makes that pronouncement.
First and foremost, having witnessed Gilgamesh's destructive actions for himself a very short time ago, the only logical thing he can do is take his comments at face value. Part of him wants to wholeheartedly reject it, but doing so will not be productive.
Secondly, no matter how revolted he is by this, no matter how much he might wish to fix it by avenging those already lost, any attempt to do so (at this point) would be futile. He's only just arrived, he hasn't even acclimated to his new surroundings yet, and the changes that have been wrought on Gilgamesh's person indicate something more elemental at work here.
He does not know enough about the path that led Gilgamesh here or how he accomplished what he did so any approach he could possibly take right this very second will not only be insufficient, but fail miserably.
For a long moment, he doesn't move or even seem to breathe. He wants to wring this monstrosity's neck, but it will not solve anything. He knows that, which is the only thing that keeps him from attempting to rip him apart.
Cold gray eyes settle resolutely on bright, scintillating red ones. He didn't fear Gilgamesh before, and he certainly won't begin now. ]
I'll make my own judgment on whether it's paradise or not.
[ He'll also be seeking out this Ringmaster he's been told to find, and when he does, he'll see if the damage Gilgamesh has wrought can be undone. He was planning on asking for a personal favor, but there's no sense in asking her to sever his bond with a world that had been destroyed. Disaster was prevented once before, and if it can be quietly reversed, so much the better. ]
