Peridot has a lot of the same confusing feelings about Miko that she did about Lambert, re: where their acquaintanceship is at after that long stay in Portland. FORGIVE ME for a lot of speculation, but it SEEMS like their personalities reeeeeaaally did not mesh well, and I imagine probably didn’t for like. The vast majority of their shared childhood. Between the age gap and the complete contrast of interests, they probably butted heads a LOT. Portland Peridot’s view on Miko was that of an annoying younger sibling, but one that she was nonetheless very protective of. Post Portland, a lot of the fabricated earlier memories of that life are fading, and she’s not really sure where they both stand now. She doesn’t feel like she has the same insight on Miko as a person that she does on Lambert, and I think that concerns and confuses her a lot whenever they cross paths at the Carnival now. Like she’s not really sure how she should behave.
