She's also pretty up front about her species and the fact that she's an alien and not organic so if you want to assume Alphys got some basic gem questions answered she'd totally do that. Otherwise it would probably just be a quick introduction and "call me if you need anything or have any questions" and then just letting Alphys go back about her business.
