⇨ CONFLICT RESOLUTION: DICE ROLLS
CONFLICT: RITUAL COMPONENT↴![]() The time has come to decide who is coming up on top in the battle for the ritual component required for the execution and control of the spell intended to take control of the Severing. As voted by the players, this will be decided by dice rolls, modified with bonuses based on the in-game situation and player character support. There's going to be some cause and effect here, so each stage will have to be rolled separately, as how much they win or lose by may effect them in the next conflict. The dice are going to be rolled publicly on the mod plurk (
On the night of October 21st, the angels and demons are both attacking the Circle at the same time, thanks to some leaked information behind the scenes. The Angels have about double the player support that the demons do, and an NPC supporting their cause named Damien Thanos managed to work out a deal with Ashleigh Mischief that would result in her allowing them access to the building on the night of the attack. The demons will be trying to use the angel's success to their advantage, and most likely interrupting mid-attack. They have the second best player support (about five players) and people have been putting a pretty big effort into killing off their soldiers. The Circle, on the other hand, currently has no outside support at all. ► RESULTS: (Dice Reveal) Thanks to advanced planning, and the betrayal of one of the Circle's top members, the Angels manage to seize the ritual artifact - which, turns out to be a pendant with a fragment of petrified wood from what was apparently the original tree of life. So, a rock as old as life on earth, or so they claim. There will be some skirmishing with demons, mostly on the way out, but nothing that will burn a great deal of resources. Of course, injuries are always possible. The Circle is so caught off guard enough that they barely manage to participate in the fight at all, and the mages that make it there in time are put down handily. Papyrus the Warlock will also be haphazardly freed from jail during the conflict. Hurray? ⇨ THE ANGELS ⇦ Both the Summer Court and the Winter Court are using stealth tactics in order to track the winner of this conflict and make an attempt to steal the ritual object for themselves. Both are hoping to take advantage of the winning team's weakness after the conflict, so the winner's defense roll numbers will depend on how cleanly they came out on top in the previous conflict. The Summer Court has the questionable support of Jonathan Strange and the brainwashed support of Axel and Zim. The Winter Court has no player support, and is actually down one changeling NPC thanks to Lambert. ► RESULTS: (Dice Reveal) In a surprise TWIST the Winter Court uses its position as a relative outsider to the situation to catch everyone by surprise. During the Angel's escape, and while the Summer Court is too busy dealing with the combination of the Angels and an attack on the Queen's Garden, the Winter Court will swoop in and snag the pendant from whoever is holding it at the time. Given their affinity for corvids, this swooping in may be quite literal. ⇨ WINTER COURT ⇦ Towards the end of the fight for the Tree of Life Pendant, the Beast will clue in on the fact that the Rose Queen is distracted by some major business, and decide that the attack is now. She will be summoning all of those that have signed on with her (and any they are bringing along) with with Childermass's guidance they will be entering the Rose Queen's gardens with the intent of freeing changelings and perhaps even slaying the Queen herself. Unfortunately, fighting a fae within their own realm is a dangerous idea, and she is not without other fae allies... ► RESULTS: ??? ⇨ SUMMER COURT ⇦ |
