From beak to tailtip he's nearly ten feet long - three quarters of that is bronze-black tailfeathers though, he's not quite four feet tall - and he has the most elaborate plumage. Fine tinted paper, elegantly hand-inked (wing-inked?) lettering, in extravagantly floral, civil writing it begged your indulgence and asked if you would come to X location to do the humble writer the very great favor of allowing him to practice his arts on such a worthy canvas as your face and body.
